Abstract
Tuberculosis of the liver is unusual condition and has a diagnostic challenge due to nonspecific clinical manifestations and rare incidence. In general, most patients were complained to vague pain on RUQ abdomen, malaise, anorexia, obscure fever, and rarely jaundice.
The diagnosis of tuberculosis of the liver, was established by histological and/or bacteriological studies, and the treatment for tuberculosis was purely medical except large localized tuberculoma or abscess and obstructive jaundice.
Recently, the use of combination of antituberculosis agents was given with good clinical response after a few months of treatment.
This report presents 4 cases of tuberculosis of the liver which experienced at Dept. of Surgery, St. Vincent Hospital, Catholic Medical College and reviewed literatures about it.
